Mac mini intel hd graphics 3000 gaming
In this case one of the x4 ports is used for Thunderbolt, leaving 4 unused lanes and a x8 for the GPU. I don't expect this move will have a noticeable impact on GPU performance. Based on what we saw in our original mobile Sandy Bridge review this should mean that GPU performance between the two stays the same. The two tests focus on different aspects of SC2 gameplay. The CPU test looks at performance during a very large battle which, as you might guess, is largely influenced by CPU performance.
Under Windows running WoW the situation is quite different and I'm not entirely sure why. Either Apple is very aggressive with driver optimizations under OS X or there's some other funniness happening under Windows more on this later.
Understanding these results
I did notice some bouts of instability with the inch MacBook Pro as well as minor graphical corruption on the screen. Early on whenever I'd boot the system up I'd get a copy of the mouse cursor in the upper left of the screen.

The Radeon HD M however is a lot faster. In fact, the performance improvement and increase in frame buffer you get with the M is well worth the upgrade. Sounds like the same one as my friedns, I believe he gets about 30 fps, though he doesn't have a meter, it could be more but he is happy with it. My fps runs from with huge drops in a bigger action the thing is my computer have a very good specs as ive been told but not what i expected i really need help should i format it and change it to windows thx. Best games to play on MacBooks with Intel HD graphics chips? : mac
Thanks so much to everyone! I had no idea the HD could do so much. I always thought it was just another integrated graphics chip that couldn't handle much more than flash games. Downloading the Boompje LoL client now! Is there a way to manually control MBP fan speeds? Also, would games run better on Bootcamped Windows? I don't even know if the Intel drivers are better for Windows seeing as they have this Apple deal.

Do a google search for boompje, or just go to boompje. They have done an awesome job on creating a mac client. You won't be getting the same fps as you would playing the windows client but you can definitely get up to It's better than nothing and you get to play with all your friends who are using Windows! I tried this and most games were fine, but I had occasional bugs where you can't see the mouse at all. I've been playing Diablo 3 the past couple of days, and it works fine.
League of Legends works great too, Left 4 dead 2 works fine but a little less nice to look at. Minecraft runs great on the best videosettings. Kind of off topic, but does anyone here know whether integrated graphics VRAM gets upgraded if you upgrade your memory? I am pretty sure I had MB strange, I know. And I have been able to run almost every game I've tried to play on my mac.
Having a bootcamp partition does your gaming experience wonders. If you would like to do the same, add the browser extension TamperMonkey for Chrome or GreaseMonkey for Firefox and add this open source script.

I'd try out Torchlight. Its a great diablo style game and can last a very long time. Torchlight 2 is the one you would preferably get but the developers have yet to release a Mac version. A bit off topic, but I need to rant. I can't believe that Apple is still using integrated graphics in their "Pro" laptops. Sort of. They consume less power, generate less heat, and allow for more creativity when it comes to form-factor. Considering the market that Apple caters to students, [young] professionals, elitists :p , a discrete GPU is not really a priority. As someone who loves gaming, it would be nice to have a little more power under the hood BUT, realistically I bought my MBP because Apple tends to build products that are great for getting work done, easy to use, and of superior quality to most PC mass-manufacturers, which is why you pay such a premium for their stuff.
You're not buying power. Only the 13" Macbook Pros don't have discrete gpus. If you have ever opened up an Apple computer that isn't more than like 5 years old, you will realize how much room they have to work with to get the quality they want.
