How to get Cisco VPN Client working on Mac OS X
Once you've checked that out, then I'd set it for IPSec and try to connect. If you continue to have problems, you should contact your client's IT group; I've seen odd parameters with VPN's and you want to make sure you have all the information you need. This is determined by your infrastructure design. For any connect to remember the password, it also has to be set by your company on the server side. The any connect client checks with the server to enable or disable password saving.

When using the split tunnel option, any traffic meant for destinations on campus will go through the GlobalProtect client and VPN tunnel. However, traffic meant for other sites like Google will not use the VPN tunnel. All client traffic is routed through the campus network with an IP address associated with the campus.
This is most commonly used if you are accessing a resource that is licensed for UC Berkeley, such as journals licensed through the library only for campus users.
