It's cool knowing how to download youtube videos but I would really prefer to find a way to make youtube work with Safari again. Go into system preferences and click on flip4mac. Check for updates. Update it and then try youtube.
It worked for me. I had the exact same problem. All the youtube videos would not play. They would apear as black screens with not even a play button.
