HELP! My macbook won't start

Please forgive me if I'm still not doing this right. I measured pin 4 and then pin 7 of U and i'm getting 9.

Also I just noticed there is very faint clicking sound when the ac adapter is connected. Attached Files Screen Shot at I have no idea which board you are working on so I'm gonna assume Look at schematic and tell me what pins 4 and 7 are connected to. I want to know the voltage on the PP3V42 rails. Hope this attached pic shows what you are looking for and yep this is a Attached Files Screen Shot at 9. What voltage do you have on the PP3V42 rail? I am confused as to where exactly I am supposed to take the measurement at?
In other words at what component should I measure with the probes?

LOL ikr, sorry Im such a newb, you would think after a year of watching Louis I would know this stuff, but I cannot find a single video where he shows exactly where to take your measurements. I really appreciate the help. Okay there is no reading on either side of L, and yeah the DMM is definitely on. Resistance to GND on L? Again sorry if that I'm not measuring it right, brand new to troubleshooting board repair.
To start the conversation again, simply ask a new question. Came home from work and went to turn on my late MacBook Pro. It won't start up. Nothing happens no tone, no motor noise, nothing.
When plugged in MagSafe power charger that came with the unit the charger unit blinks orange. Tried the charger on my other computer - works just fine.

No battery indicator lights are working. Resetting the SMC not working. Connecting another magsafe charger not working. But i feel some vibration when I touch the laptop when the Magsafe charger is connected. Seems like the fan is working. Sep 23, AM. Page content loaded. There might be a problem with your battery in the computer. What do the battery level lights show on the side of the computer? It would also be wise to visually inspect the magsafe receptacle on your computer and see that it's not damaged or plugged up with some foreign object or debris.
This could be preventing one of the pogo-pins from making proper contact to enable charging. Sep 5, PM. Thanks for your response.

The battery indicator lights are completely dead not even the first light flashing. I've inspected and used compressed air to clean both the MagSafe charger as well as the receptable on my computer. Neither is damaged or dirty. It could just be your system management controller. Try resetting it using the following procedure:. If that doesn't give any love it may actually be a battery problem.
